Proactively

Acting on proactive basis requires intimate understanding of your environment, past change pattern of the environment, likely change pattern f the environment, and likely changes that these environmental changes mau pose before you. Though some kind of  challenges you might have identified while setting your vision, these challenges are of broad type and are applicable to remote environment. For immediate environmental changes, you have to use some techniques. Forecasting and scenario building are two such techniques. In forecasting, pattern of future changes can be estimated on past changes with giving due credit to fundamental changes that are likely to affect these changes. In scenario building, scenarios of various alternative changes are developed and likely actions are planned for each scenario. For example, in a one day cricket match, if there is rain during the part of the match, opposite captains develop scenarios in the form of duration of rain, likely pitch condition, likely actions to be taken by the opposite team, and so on. Since the duration of the rain is not certain, other elements are not certain. The captains take actions based on scenario developed by them. This is just small example. When you act proactively, you may face many such situations. Therefore, develop the skills for knowing what is likely to happen in future.
