Acceptance

	You must have observed that people who are moody and waver in their behavior are not well accepted in the society because of lack of inconsistency in their behavior. Use of emotional intelligence enhances your Acceptance in your family, friendship group, organization, and society. If you maintain consistency in your behavior because of your emotional intelligence, people will accept you by their heart irrespective of your official position. In the absence of emotional intelligence, people will accept you because of your official position and not out of their heart.

	Any acceptance, may be Self Acceptance, not emerging from heart is unsustainable; this will become non existent when you are not at that position, the basis of your acceptance by people. Social Acceptance is necessary to satisfy your social need. This need emerges because you are a part of social groups. You feel comfortable when other members of a group accept you. In the case of their non acceptance, you feel uncomfortable which is frustrating to you. Your emotional intelligence enables you to maintain consistency in your behavior over the period of time. Because of this consistency, people’s expectations from your behavior are met fully and they like to have interaction with you as this type of interaction is gratifying to them. When your behavior is inconsistent, it becomes unpredictable and even irritating to those with whom you interact. This is Paradigm Acceptance No one likes irritating behavior; not even your family members whose responsibility you have shouldered. If this kind of behavior is not acceptable to your family members, how can you expect that this behavior will be acceptable to your friends, colleagues, and others?
