Mumbai Stock Exchange Official Directory. This directory has been published by Mumbai Stock Exchange in 18 volumes. Information about the various organizations is updated from time to time. Various aspects on which information is available are brief history of the organizations, board of directors, product lines, and financial results of past ten years. However, information is provided about those companies only whose shares have been listed on Mumbai Stock Exchange for trading.

Financial Websites. There are many financial websites which provide information about various organizations. However, information about only those companies is provided whose shares have been listed for trading. Two prominent websites in this category are www.bseindiad.com and www.nseindia.com. On these websites, you can have relevant information about the organization on the different aspects – important announcements made from time to time, board meetings and matters discussed financial results, shareholding pattern, and name of the website.

Friends and Acquaintances. You can have relevant information about the organization from above sources. However, above sources seldom give complete information about the organization’s work culture and human resource management practices. Only organizations which opt for campus interview provide information on these two aspects. In other cases, the best way to get the real information about the organization’s work culture and human resource management practices is to contact your friends and acquaintances who might be serving in the organization or might have served in the past. They will give you the real picture of the organization concerned.
