PREPARE INFORMATIONAL QUESTIONS

PREPARE INFORMATIONAL AND BEHAVIORAL QUESTIONS

You are required to prepare informational and behavioral questions so that you are fully equipped to answer any question that is asked to you in the interview. Though you might be aware about the answers of the questions on informational and behavioral aspects as the questions are related to you and no to your subject of study, preparation of these will help you to give answers spontaneously which is appreciated by the interviewers.

Your approach for preparing informational and behavioral questions will be different from preparing technical questions. In the case of technical questions, your preparation is based on reading of textbooks and other related literature while your preparation for informational and behavioral questions is based on your self analysis. Of course you can take the clue from these pages for answering these questions, answers based on your self-analysis will put you in a better position to defend yourself if the interviewers probe you more deeply on any aspect.

For preparing informational and behavioral questions, take a question, and based on your self-analysis, find its answer. Compare this answer with the answer given of the question in the previous chapter. If you find that your answer matches the answer given in these pages, take the next question and proceed as above. In any question, if your answer does not match the given answer, try to find out why this is so.

One reason for this difference may be that answers of various questions on informational and behavioral aspects are based on what the interviewers like in most of the cases. However, since every person differs from others in terms of some behavioral aspects, all persons as candidates for an interview may have differences. Therefore, it is desirable that you find out what makes your answer to differ from the answer given in these pages and have your own answer but this should be convincing and defendable by you in the interview. If you wish you may write down such answers where these differ from the answers given in these pages on a piece of paper. This exercise will make you more precise.
