Arriving at Interview Location

PREPERATION FOR INTERVIEW

ARRIVING AT INTERVIEW LOCATION

Try to arrive at interview location at least 15-20 minutes earlier than the interview schedule mentioned by the organization. Those who are living in the same city where interview is to take place, they may not have much problem in arriving at the interview location as they might be familiar with the place. Those who are coming from far off places to attend the interview should plan their journey in such a way that they reach the city in which the interview is to be held sufficiently in advance. Before arriving at the interview location, ensure that you have the following items which will be required during the interview process:

Interview call letter. This is not required for those candidates who are attending walk-in interview.
All educational certificates, mark sheets and testimonials in original. If you have not submitted copy of each of these documents along with your resume/application, have photocopy of each document.
Letters from referees if the organization has specified.
Few copies of your bio-data neatly types on paper of appropriate quality. It is quite possible that some interviewers may be interested in your bio-data for other job openings.
Your passport size photographs (3-4 copies). Photograph may be required by the organization itself and possibly by the interviewers.
Any other document specified by the organization.
Few blank paper sheets or a pad and pen. It is quite possible that you may be required to make notes during the interview process.
A briefcase/portfolio/business-like bag to keep the above items. Briefcase or its alternative should be sleek and appear to be professional.

Photocopy of journey ticket if the organization defrays traveling cost

After reaching the venue of the interview, contact a person at the reception who will let you know to whom and where you have to meet to complete the pre-interview activities
