WHAT IS AN MLM BUSINESS ? Multilevel Marketing, also known as Network Marketing, is the term given to the Business of selling products by using independent distributors. These Distributors build and manage their own sales force by recruiting, motivating, supplying, and training others to sell products. Whatever the sales force (Downline) of a Distributor earns, some specified percentage of that forms distributor's compensation plus they earn from their own direct sales.

Multilevel Marketing, or MLM, can be referred to as a system for selling goods or services through a chain of distributors. In MLM, the distributor invites people to become a distributor in their Downline. These poeple are encouraged to attend the company organized meetings where the company methodology is explained. The meetings also offer a chance to meet those who form examples by earning exceptionally well. When a person becomes a distributor with the Multilevel Marketing company, then he can sell the Product Directly and earn his profit through it, and additionally, he adds more people under him, to form a network of Sales Force. This generates commission for him whenever someone from the downline (also called as Leg) earns profit. Thus, the term Downline means the distributors that a person signs up under his team. The distributor at the upper level is called as upline. Upline helps the downline with training, materials, etc, to encourage more people to join under him.
