The growing demand of Legal profession Recession has hit every sector in the economy but the legal profession has remained untouched by the wave of recession. Law is the only profession that is booming, with the coming of LPO’s, KPO’s and the legal consultancy as a career option— Law has become the most sought after career option. There are various institutes that provide 5 year integrated and 3 year degree course. Among the most renowned colleges for getting legal education is Delhi University (3 years LLB course); Amity Law School (5 year integrated LLB course) and the new 5 year LLB course that is introduced latest by Delhi University in Dwarka. All those who want to secure a seat in any of the prestigious 5 years integrated law schools have to give an entrance test known as LSAT; Questions comes from Legal reasoning, English aptitude, Logical reasoning and Mathematical abilities and General knowledge. LSAT is basically divided into four sections. There are many coaching institutes that help students in preparing for various law entrance tests. Generally, students find “ English Section” difficult to tackle with. Though, my advice for the students who are preparing for the law entrance would be to concentrate on their strengths; some students are good at English, some are at Mathematics. But, one should try to run across all the sections without putting one’s mind on only one section that is a general mistake aspiring students of law make. To be a good Lawyer/Advocate/Judge is not an easy task. One should have the ability to reason, judge and mould the facts provided to them. I would also like to advice students to hone their linguistic skills; they are of paramount importance in spite of that one should be a good speaker and presenter. For, improving one’s linguistic skills one should read a lot; especially newspapers as much as one can. Legal profession is a very exciting profession to be in; one can do different specializations like in Criminal Law, IPR (Intellectual Property Rights), Cyber Law, etc. As students of law one can intern in various law firms while pursuing their course. Law is not only a lucrative career option but also a knowledgeable profession to be in these times of uncertainty. As a citizen of this country one should be well abreast with the law of the land and Law as a profession hones an individual politically and socially as nobody is above law.
