With the revision of scales of pay of university and college teachers
as per the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resources Development,

minimum qualification required for recruitment of teachers in subjects
other than fine arts, management, Engineering and Technology in universities
and colleges.
In addition to above options, Schools and Colleges offer Physical
Education as a discipline much like academic subjects such as Social
Sciences, Languages, and the Natural Sciences etc.
